EUROCERT: Global Innovation with the New ClimaNeutral® and ClimaBalanced® Services for Verified Climate Action and Carbon Neutrality
EUROCERT, the largest independent Greek inspection, certification, validation and verification body, announces the launch of its new specialized ClimaNeutral® and ClimaBalanced® services, providing businesses with a comprehensive and reliable framework for substantiating and verifying climate claims in accordance with the latest international requirements, while also providing a sound basis for combating greenwashing.
At a time when sustainability, transparency and credibility have become key pillars of business development, organizations are increasingly required to demonstrate, in an objective and verifiable manner, their progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving their climate targets.
In response to growing market demands and evolving international regulatory requirements, EUROCERT has developed two innovative programmes covering different stages of the journey towards climate neutrality.
ClimaNeutral® is EUROCERT's proprietary programme for the validation and verification of Carbon Neutrality claims, based on the requirements of the international standard ISO 14068-1:2023. Through a structured assessment process, organizations can demonstrate that they have quantified and reduced their emissions and offset their residual emissions in accordance with international best practices, strengthening their pathway towards Net Zero.
At the same time, ClimaBalanced® is EUROCERT's new proprietary programme for the independent verification of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Compensation (Carbon Compensation) claims. The programme provides a transparent and reliable mechanism for organizations, products, services, buildings and events that choose to compensate for their emissions through recognized carbon credits, without making a carbon neutrality claim.

These services are delivered by EUROCERT's specialized teams of assessors in accordance with the international standards ISO/IEC 17029, ISO 14064, ISO 14065 and ISO 14068-1, ensuring an independent, impartial and technically substantiated assessment of climate claims.
