EUROCERT verifies 37 Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for the Sika® Ucrete® product range
EUROCERT has successfully completed the independent verification of 37 Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for Sika, covering the entire Sika® Ucrete® industrial flooring and mortar range manufactured at the company’s facility in Redditch, UK.
The verified Environmental Product Declarations have been officially registered in the International EPD System®, in accordance with ISO 14025:2006, EN15804:2012+A2:2019/AC:2021, and PCR 2019:14 Construction Products (Version 2.0.1).
Verification was based on the comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) developed for all Sika® Ucrete® products, incorporating all life cycle stages from raw materials to end-of-life, as required by the international standards.
Environmental Product Declarations provide transparent, accurate, and comparable information regarding a product’s environmental performance.
They are widely used in green procurement, sustainable building certification schemes (LEED, BREEAM), ESG disclosures, and eco-design processes.
By issuing 37 verified EPDs, Sika demonstrates its strong commitment to sustainability and transparency, offering its customers robust and verified environmental data for the entire Sika® Ucrete® range.
EUROCERT is among the few certification bodies worldwide accredited under ISO 17065 and ISO 14025 for the verification of Environmental Product Declarations.
With extensive experience in construction materials, industrial chemicals, and environmental declarations, EUROCERT ensured the technical integrity and reliability of the EPDs published through the International EPD System®.
Statement from EUROCERT: “We are honored to collaborate with global leaders such as Sika. The verification of the 37 Sika® Ucrete® EPDs marks an important milestone in promoting transparency and environmental responsibility within the construction sector.”
